They deleted everything, from folders to all backups. Content since september-02 exploded in a million of glittery pieces. Since our DB is open to anyone dump, mirror, send by fax to Kosovo, if you have some newer backup please post it. The most recent one will be restored.

Detalhe que isso foi feito em um host aleatório e perdido no meio do nada, localizado nos Estados Unidos, no brasil acho que não tem um servidor que passe de 300Mb/s de download, ao menos não achei.

Usei uma versão que modifiquei do Firmware AlcaHell, apelidei carinhosamente para SpeedyShit somente para fazer esse vídeo e mostrar a velocidade possível (AlcaHell é travado em 350Mb/s). Como não estou afim de ser banido da minha própria internet, removi depois que filmei.

O tempo passou, e como passou. A pequena comunidade privada que com convite de amigos para amigos cresceu.
Cresceu de uma maneira que 98% do uso de banda virou internacional, fomos banidos de quatro hosts, obrigando assim a hospedar em um ótimo host, porém utilizando um computador pessoal para hospedar o SQL do fórum, compiladores online, e outras ferramentas para poupar recursos. E nem um logo tínhamos. Não por preguiça, mas por todos pensarem que rótulos são coisas comerciais e não precisávamos de um.

Discussões de “Pra que baixar por torrent, consigo fazer um programa que faça melhor que isso em meia hora” que não cessavam. Incontáveis horas criando um interpretador capaz de modificar memória e editar pacotes em tempo real com o usuário necessitando escrever menos de 40 linhas de código. AsmX foi uma conquista. Qualquer um poderia copiar o link direto e enviar para alguém fazer besteira ou até mesmo vender. Nunca foi feito, nossa proteção era a confiança em que todos têm entre si mesmos. Fora do fórum, ninguém sabia o que é AsmX, fora dois vídeos que esqueci de por em privado no Youtube. Coisas assim, são difíceis de se encontrar hoje em dia. Confiança entre desconhecidos.

Como nada dura para sempre, algumas pessoas com más intenções começaram a freqüentar o fórum esta semana, e começaram a comercializar alguns aplicativos criados por nós.
Outras, começaram a utilizar o SandBox para tentarem fazer spam, entre devidas outras porcarias.
Mesmo sendo “tudo nosso”, não tenho mais o tempo livre que tinha antes, de poder colocar um X Ray Dog para tocar, ligar o Xbox360 e ficar jogando Gears durante o dia todo. (The translator will screw up this, I don’t have free time. Period.)
Muito menos para poder ficar olhando para SMTP, anexos, uso de CPU, se meu gato não esta brincando com o cabo de rede.

Decidimos internamente que irei remover os 6 domínios que utilizamos, subdomínios, etc e liberaremos o conteúdo para quem quiser hospedar em algum lugar, que hospede por livre e espontânea vontade. Infelizmente não posso liberar os domínios, pois estão em meu nome e se alguém fizer algo de errado a culpa cairá em cima de mim graças ao nosso país onde todos são culpados até que se prove o contrário. To do it manually, edit your N82AP.plist and change “<key>opengles-1</key>” to “<key>opengles-2</key>”.

Reboot your device or respring.

I don’t know if more people found this before, I fixed accidentally messing with the plist to enable multitasking. It crashed a lot and I started to change every value to find what I broke.

Like a good brazilian that pays for software and don’t bittorrent it (i’m a exception, nobody I know uses a original retail copy, everyone pirates it!), I rushed to the near Fnac store and bought the home edition expecting my free update. (Fnac = Authorized reseller)

Who dislikes free updates? I don’t, because I paid for it and the ad clearly says “Buy Office 2008 and Get Office 2011″.

So, I bought the thing just to get the 2011 edition, and I was rejected because I live in Brazil? I paid for the stuff like everyone else, I’m a customer like everyone else (I don’t live in the jungles, I don’t play with Blanka and I has Macs and optical-fiber internets).

Thats what we get when we pay for LEGIT stuff, a big NO in the freaking face. Thats why nobody pays for software in this country, it’s expensive and developers don’t give a fuck about us (Office 2008 DON’T HAVE PORTUGUESE INTERFACE). Thats why everybody uses Pirated Windows and Office everywhere. Thats why we can’t have nice things here.

I sent this to microsoft, in the same place used to send the receipt.

Guess what? No Answer.

So I fixed the ad and sent my fixed version back using the contactUs form:

No answer again.
